It couldn’t be easier to use your kerbside collection services.

Every Local Authority in the UK provides recycling services from right outside your home either weekly or fortnightly.

All you have to do is find out what you can recycle, get hold of the proper recycling receptacles and make a start!

Some areas have co-mingling collections which means all your recyclable materials goes into one container. Other areas provide separated collections which might mean you have several different containers to store things in.

One of the easiest and most convenient ways to discover what you can recycle from your kerbside is to use the Recycle Now website. Simply type in your postcode and you’ll see everything that can be collected from your kerbside.

If you don’t want to use an online database, then call your local council. All local councils in the UK are listed on the Direct Gov website. Select ‘A to Z of local councils’ from the homepage to find an alphabetical listing or find the number on your council tax bill.
